If you are registered you don’t have to vote, but if you are not registered then you can’t vote and that means you can’t have a say on things that affect you!
You can register to vote online, but sometimes people also get forms sent through the post asking them to register. Registering will mean that you can vote as soon as you are 18. If you move house then you need to register again.
