Step 3: Selecting Candidates and the Election Team
Accept candidates that have been nominated by five other pupils and have submitted the form. Encourage candidates to recruit as many other pupils as possible into their party.
Designate one member of staff to support each party and help allocated tasks. Parties need to think about what their policies will be and how they will campaign - suggest that they meet up some lunchtimes to plan their campaign strategy.

Ensure you have a strong Election Team in order to register voters, distribute polling cards, count votes, etc – this can involve staff as well as pupils.
Organise a meeting with your team to discuss all of the tasks that need doing and allocate jobs as necessary:
