The Conservative Party
The modern Conservative Party is all about helping you reach your potential, making our streets safe, protecting our environment and building a good and strong society. People should have choice, freedom and help when they need it. If Government gets too big, it just gets in the way. For example, do you want to carry an Identity Card? The government think you should, but Conservatives would never make you do this.

Education
The Conservatives will build hundreds of new schools, so that kids aren’t all crammed in together. These new schools will have freedom to make their own decisions, so they won’t be bossed around by the Government.

Crime
The Conservatives will help police to get out of the office and on to the streets. We believe the police are given too much paper work, so they can’t spend much time out on the streets and in your community. The Conservatives would free the police from this, so they can get on to the streets and protect you.

The Environment
The Conservatives want to help everyone enjoy parks and green spaces, and to help people recycle and look after our environment. Looking after our environment is one of the most important things in politics.

Sports and Art
The Olympics are going to be great, and the Conservatives will make sure that the benefits stay around long after the games are over. Sports and art are really important, and the Conservatives will help people get into sport and enjoy music, drama and art.

Health
The Conservatives think that the NHS is the most important thing, and they have promised to look after it and give it the help it needs. Doctors and nurses will have more freedom. A Conservative government will make it easier for you to see your doctor, and hospitals will be cleaner.

The European Union
The EU can be a good thing, but the Conservatives don’t want to give any more of the UK’s power to them. This is why the Conservatives have promised to ask the British people to vote on any major change. You deserve to have your say.
