Leicester High School for Girls enjoys ‘Gordon Brownies’
Leicester High School for Girls enjoyed the sweet taste of success during their mock election – as students tucked into ‘Gordon Brownie’ cakes on the campaign trail. Head of PSHCE Deborah Morgan commented ‘The girls had a great election experience - several staff commented about how good it was to hear girls as young as 11 walking around the school discussing politics and who they were going to vote for’.
The school had the following results: Conservatives 38%, Liberal Democrats 33% and Labour 74%. The Mock Elections team would like to congratulate all candidates for taking part – we wonder if there will be ‘Conservative Cookies’ next time?
